There is no account, no payment and nothing of yours held on any server, so this is short.

What you are getting

Clearsweep is free to use. Installing it creates no account, starts no trial and takes no payment. If that ever changes, it changes on a new version you choose to install, never on the one already on your phone.

What Clearsweep claims, and what it does not

Clearsweep runs five checks and reports what each one found. It does not, and cannot, establish that a room or a vehicle is free of a camera or a tracker. What it cannot find lists, for every check, the things that check misses — that page is part of these terms, not marketing around them.

When the checks come back empty, the app says nothing was found by the checks that ran. That is the claim. Please do not read it as a broader one, and do not make a decision about your safety on the strength of it alone.

Clearsweep is provided as it is, with no promise that it will find a particular device, work on a particular phone, or be available at a particular moment. Where the law lets us limit liability, our liability is limited to what you paid us, which is nothing.

What is asked of you

Use it on your own property, or where you have permission to look. The checks listen to radio that is already being broadcast and to devices on a network you have already joined; they are not a way into anything. Do not use Clearsweep to harass, follow or surveil another person — the entire point of it is the opposite.

If something here is wrong

A sentence on this site that overstates what the app does is a defect, and we would rather hear about it than have it stand. The app's own screens and these pages are generated from the same registry so that they cannot disagree.
