Infrared viewer
Shows the camera feed so you can look for the infrared lamps a night-vision camera uses. Those lamps are invisible to the eye but usually visible to a phone camera.
What it finds
- A camera whose infrared lamps are on, which usually means a dark room
What it cannot find
- Any camera that is not using infrared, which is most of them in daylight
- A camera whose infrared is off because the room is lit
- Anything, on phones whose camera filters infrared out; test yours with a TV remote first
This check ends with you looking. The app can narrow down where to look and how strong the signal is; it cannot tell you what is there, and it never marks this check clear on its own.
